Foro Jávea Participates, for first time, in the meeting of the centres and organizations members of The Spanish Network of the Anna Lindh Foundation, at the Institut Europeu de la Mediterránia (IEMED) in Barcelona. The purpose of the meeting, which took place on November 19, at the IEMED, who participated representatives from half hundred organizations from all of Spain has been to establish lines of work and projects for 2009 of the Spanish network. The meeting was chaired by Senén Florensa, director of IEMED, and was attended by a representative of the Spanish government, Ambassador EUROMED Jose Riera, and Gianlucca Solera, the International Network Coordinator in the Anna Lindh headquarter in Alexandria (Egypt). Anna Lidh Foundation, based in Alexandria is a "network of networks" because it is made in turn by the networks of each of the Euromediterranean countries, promoting, since 2002, from the Euromediterranean Conference in Valencia, intercultural dialogue and cooperation in the Mediterranean. It was formally established in 2005 between the EU and ten countries in the Euromediterranean area: Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, Israel, Syria and Turkey. Among its main activities and objectives are to promote cooperation, exchanges and mobility, particularly among young people. The Institut Europeu de la Mediterrània (IEMED), headquartered in Barcelona, is the driving force and coordinator of the Spanish network, with over one hundred organizations and agencies. Ideas and ideology, education, culture, media, religion and spirituality, diversity and cities, are the main lines of work for the coming months, along with activities and events related to climate change, economic crisis and migration, perpendicular to the grand overall, more than justified by the present.
