Exhibition "Spain and the Arabic world: a century of political relations in Pictures" PDF Print

inauguracion.jpgThe Jávea Neighbourhood Forum Foundation, according to its commitment to dialogue and cooperation between the Euromediterranean area and the Middle East, is hosting the exhibition "Spain and the Arabic world: a century of political imagery in" to show the history between Spain and the Arabic world of the last century.

Thanks to enormous effort and interest by the patrons of the Foundation for bringing Javea is a sample that reflects the values of solidarity and cooperation between the Euromediterranean area and the Middle East axis which form the basis of the ideology of the Foundation, the 148 images of the sample belonging to the photographic archive of the Spanish agency EFE, and is organized by Casa Árabe and the Three Cultures Foundation, have come to Javea to collect nearly one hundred years of political history between the two cultures that share a common past and require an effort for the future normalization of relations.
exposicion2009.jpg The exhibition, which gathers snapshots from colonial times until the last meetings between the heads of spanish and arab state, not only reflects political relations being established between east and west, but it is a sign of cultural diversity and social up two identities with a common history together, making the Foundation, with the arrival of this exhibit, in one instance to exchange knowledge, experiences and proposals for the cultural enrichment of future generations within the Euromediterranea area.

Emphasizing that international cooperation has been maintained between the two, the exhibition is a reflection of the historical evolution of both societies, the passage, many of them from dictatorship to democracy and, above all, the bridge between two forms to understand the very different society with a common heritage as exhibited in the exhibition that opened at Casa Tena.
