Participation in the Anna Lindh Forum |

The IEMed (The European Institute of the Mediterranean) and the Anna Lindh Euro-Mediterranean Foundation for the dialogue between cultures invited Jávea Neighbourhood Forum to participate in the Anna Lindh Forum which took place at Barcelona’s International Conventions Centre from 4 to 7 March 2010.
The Jávea Neighbourhood Forum took part in two ways. Firstly in “Agora” by attending the following workshops: “Education, intercultural learning and youth”, “Cultural and artistic collaborations” and “Creating spaces of peace and coexistence”.

The Anna Lindh Foundation will promote joint projects among the members of her international network
Jávea Neighbourhood Forum has participated this week in Barcelona at the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMed), in the work of the Anna Lindh Foundation Spanish Network, to promote the development of collaboration between the common foundations that make up This "network", to promote cultural sharing and dissemination meeting the objectives and principles of the Anna Lindh, and expand the "Network" to other countries.
In the meeting, opened by the president of the IEMed, Senén Florensa; Gianluca Solera, Coordinator of International Networks marked the guidelines of the work that should allow projects of this network soon with the Spanish network of 43 other countries on both shores Mediterranean. In an informal context, the representatives of Jávea Forum announced its readiness to cooperate actively. Among the proposals was presented to a sample set-exhibition devoted to women and their active role in improving the quality of life of their environments.

The Friends Club Committee is established |

The Club will help citizens from Jávea and its surrounding region to join in with the international activities organised by the Foundation.
The Foundational Friends Club Committee from the Jávea Neighbourhood Forum Friend’s club has recently been established with prominent members of Jávea´s civil society taking part. The Jávea Neighbourhood Forum Friend’s club aims to get civil society–from Jávea, its surrounding region or anywhere else- actively involved in all the national and international events organised by the Jávea Neighbourhood Forum Foundation. Its main role is to open up the foundation to all those who are interested in helping out, whether it be directly or indirectly, with all possible aspects: financial, activities, publicising them, giving advice…etc., and also set up sectorial debate forums organised by the Foundation for members of the Club.

INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR “ MEDITERRANEAN INTER DEVELOPMENT AND COMPETITIVENESS NEW FORMS OF THE SUSTAINABLE SOCIETY OF KNOWLEDGE "
Representatives of the Forum Javea patronage participated in the event organized by the Antonio de Nebrija University in Madrid, which has enjoyed financial support from the State Secretariat of the European Union, the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation and the Institut Europeu de a Mediterrània (IEMED).
The seminar took place last December 10 and 9, at the headquarters of the Economic and Social Council (CES) of Madrid, and collaborated in the same the Real Instituto Elcano and the Center for European Policy Studies (CEPS), Brussels.

Meeting of The Spanish Network of the Anna Lindh Foundation |

Foro Jávea Participates, for first time, in the meeting of the centres and organizations members of The Spanish Network of the Anna Lindh Foundation, at the Institut Europeu de la Mediterránia (IEMED) in Barcelona.
The purpose of the meeting, which took place on November 19, at the IEMED, who participated representatives from half hundred organizations from all of Spain has been to establish lines of work and projects for 2009 of the Spanish network.

LAUNCH OF THE "Jávea Neighbourhood Forum Friend's Club" |

The mayor of Jávea, Eduardo Monfort and the president of the Jávea Neighbourhood Forum Foundation, José Ribes, presented on Tuesday 27th March in the Jávea council chambers, the new president of the Jávea Neighbourhood Forum Friends' Club, Juan Cardona.
 Pride and hard work were the two key messages in the speeches made by Ribes and Cardona, each president of the Jávea Forum and the foundation's Friends Club, respectively. The pride felt over Jávea's lead role by offering its name to a project born "by and for youth" and whose consolidated objective is to be a point of reference for the different countries that border the Mediterranean. The hard work that it has taken to launch and maintain a project whose personal and economic costs, as admitted by Cardona himself, have provoked, "contant worries and headaches".
